Will my calls still work during load-shedding?

Yes. Our voice core runs in Tier-III data centres with UPS and generator backup, so the platform stays up. Because InspireTel works over any internet connection, your team can also take calls on their mobile softphone over LTE — even when the office fibre is down.

Can I keep my existing phone numbers?

Absolutely. We port 010, 011, 021, 031, 041 and 087 numbers — as well as 0800 freephone — from the major networks with zero downtime. The full porting process is handled by our team and typically completes within five business days.

Do I need to buy new phones or hardware?

No. Most clients use our free softphone on laptops and smartphones. If you prefer desk phones, we support any standards-based SIP handset and can supply pre-configured devices, or re-use many of the IP phones you already own.

How reliable is the call quality on South African fibre and LTE?

Very. We use wideband HD voice, adaptive jitter buffering and QoS-tagged routing, and peer directly with local networks. Our median latency to major centres is under 18ms with a MOS above 4.3 — noticeably clearer than traditional analogue lines.

Is there a long-term contract?

No contracts on Starter and Business plans — you pay month to month and can cancel any time. Enterprise agreements are tailored to your volume and include a formal uptime SLA with service credits.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most clients are fully live within 24 hours of approval. Larger multi-site or call-centre deployments with number porting typically take 3–5 business days, managed end-to-end by a dedicated onboarding engineer.

Is call recording POPIA and PCI compliant?

Our optional recording is encrypted at rest and in transit, with configurable retention and access controls suited to POPIA. For card-handling environments we support pause-and-resume recording to align with PCI-DSS expectations.
